Dr. Gottlieb (formerly Dr. Schirm) grew up in McLean, Virginia. She graduated from Princeton University, magna cum laude, with an A.B. in Molecular Biology and a certificate in Global Health. After graduating from Princeton, she performed clinical trials research on the RSV vaccine at the National Institutes of Health prior to starting medical school. Dr. Gottlieb graduated cum laude from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2020, and then completed her residency at Medstar Washington Hospital Center-Georgetown University Hospital, where she served as Chief Administrative Resident in her fourth year.
