Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University Southeast in 1994 and Master of Science in Nursing from Spalding University in 1999. She is Board Certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
