Dr. Rosa Zapata is a dedicated and compassionate physician specializing in General Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Antioquia School of Medicine in Medellín, Colombia, and holds active medical licenses in both Puerto Rico and Florida. Dr. Zapata was led to become a doctor after losing her father to a heart attack when she was a young girl. His passing had a deep impact on her and inspired her to pursue a career in medicine to help others lead healthier lives and prevent similar tragedies. For her, the most rewarding part of practicing medicine is witnessing the transformation in both the physical and emotional health of those she serves. In her free time, she enjoys writing and is the proud author of Why I Should Heal My Heart, which explores how emotions and past traumas can impact physical, mental, and psycho-emotional health. She also hosts a weekly program on Radio Jesus International Station, where she educates Latino communities on disease prevention and wellness strategies."
