The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, TN, and serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold, and the revenue helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

The sale of donated items in our stores extends the life of useful items and offers shoppers a sustainable alternative to fast-fashion. Further, we annually recycle more than 25 million pounds of valuable materials. Goodwill now offers hands-on training for solar installer jobs. This is a four-week training course, 40 hours per week.

The Goodwill Construction and Weatherization Training Program designed to help participants acquire the skills and knowledge needed to embark on rewarding careers in residential or industrial construction or related fields.
