After a 32 year career as an executive in the energy industry, Jim began to explore what his next career move would be. Having cared for both his father and his mother-in-law for a combined 2 1/2 years before they both succumbed to cancer, Jim saw firsthand the challenges that both the patients and their family members deal with on a daily basis. This growing need for care in his community combined with Jims desire to be part of an organization that allowed him to give something back to the community lead him to the home care industry.Jim looked at several firms involved in senior care and narrowed his search to Griswold Home Care. Griswolds long history in referring caregivers for elder care, (more than thirty years), combined with their sterling reputation made it a perfect fit. When a franchise opportunity in the Greater Southwest and Greater South Houston Griswold Home Care office became available, Jim jumped at the chance to embark upon a career in non-medical home care.Jim has been married to his wife Janine for over 35 years. They have one son, Jordan, who is on staff with Young Life in Austin, TX. Jim has been active in his church for several years in many capacities including Eucharistic minister, lector, Confirmation Team Leader and President of the Parrish Council.
