The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) is an organization composed of more than 2500 members in the United States, Canada, and throughout the world. ASAPS is known as the leading organization of plastic surgeons who have been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and who specialize in aesthetic plastic surgery. The collective focuses on education, research, public information, and patient advocacy to further the advancement of cosmetic plastic surgery and to promote the highest standards of care. ASAPS sponsors regular scientific meetings and symposia that bring together plastic surgeons and healthcare professionals from across the globe to share information and encourage continuing education. The group’s official publication, the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, is said to be the most widely read clinical journal in the field of aesthetic surgery. Each year, ASAPS holds its Annual Meeting, which has been recognized as the most important national and international event for aesthetic surgery research and clinical education.
