With a new driveway to be installed we had to retain it from falling into the front of this home. Natural stones caped with old curb stone blend into the site perfect
The challange of this job was working with the deck overhead and existing bed rock to cut in around while be backed up against the home.
This space had a very large but unsafe deck taking up a small space and a special type of wood was used to make a fresh smaller deck pushed out over the cliff behind the house to open up the space
How to revive a space that is not functional
When we made the deck smaller it gave us room to build a fire pit to enjoy on those fall evenings. The patio is supported by cement pillars under it to keep it from falling over the ravine. It is retained by 20 foot high rock wall tied into the existing bed rock.

Re using old products to give a new look. This stone used in a new way created a new entrance to a garden that was once dead space in this yard.
Continuing from the entrance is a natural stone path meandering under the mature canopy into a side yard garden.
Mid way down the new path way is a hidden garden and seating area for enjoying nature. All materials are re-used natural stone worked in around the existing trees taking care of the root systems to avoid damage to mature canopy's
A new front step was created using natural stones and used sandstone slabs for a aged look from the start.
