Brian and Robin DerMiner are certainly no strangers to Gaylord. Brian has enjoyed summers up here since he was a boy, and they were married at his parents house on the shores of Otsego Lake in 2004. Prior to moving to Gaylord, they shared many years together in Central Florida where they raised their children. Once their children were grown, Brian and Robin sought out a new adventure and signed on to work as Civillian Contractors for the United States Army in Afghanistan. While preparing for the end of Robin's second & Brian's third contract there, they learned that the Parkside Party Store was for sale; it was fate calling and they answered. They put on our work boots and gloves, and with the help of some local contractors, remodeled the entire store. It took about nine months to completly transform the establishment and in May of 2013 they opened the doors. You can find Parkside Market stocked full with everything you’ll need for your Northern Michigan Experience such as a Great Deli Menu, Beer, Wine, Liquor, Lottery, Live Bait, Groceries, Breakfast Food, and Papa D’s Hand Made Pizza.
