John D. Wilgucki, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of retina and macular diseases. His clinical expertise includes the management of complex vitreoretinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, epiretinal membranes and macular holes, along with extensive experience in secondary intraocular lens procedures.
Dr. Wilgucki graduated from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, received his MD from Rutgers-Robert Johnson Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at Emory Eye Center. He then pursued an advanced two-year fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
