See the Black Hills by vintage steam train! The train route used by the 1880 Train has been in place for over 130 years, and is a 10 mile stretch that runs through the central part of the Black Hills of South Dakota between Hill City and Keystone. One way and round trip departures are available from either station.
Passengers can expect to see scenery like forests, meadows, and creeks, along with wildlife like deer and turkey. The regular train ride is narrated, and there is also a guide book available for a fee. Make lasting memories with family and friends aboard the 1880 Train!
Numerous special event trains each year: Wine trains, Oktoberfest, Buffalo Round-up train, and Holiday Express trains to meet Santa at the "North Pole".
