In 1988, Genia Smith founded Accent Hardwood Flooring in Durham, North Carolina. As a second-generation hardwood flooring expert, she was dedicated to growing the most reputable flooring business in the community. Through her hard work and determination, she succeeded.
After many years of success, Genia reached out to Matt Poole in 2021 to discuss a possible business opportunity. In 2022, Matt purchased the company from Genia, allowing her to retire. Throughout her career, Genia made a lasting impact on the hardwood flooring industry.
