Born and raised in South Florida, Dr. Berenguer received his bachelor's degree in finance from Florida International University in Miami, before earning his medical doctorate at Universidad de Ciencias Médicas (UCIMED) in San Jose, Costa Rica. Dr. Berenguer later completed his internal medicine residency at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania, and received additional training in anesthesiology to specialize in pain management.
