Dr. Akers has been a licensed dentist in the state of Texas since 2006. She holds permits for enteral, parenteral, and nitrous oxide anesthesia. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Greater Houston Society of Periodontists, and Southwest Society of Periodontists. She is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology.
