Reginald J. Newsome, MD, is a highly skilled physician with a broad base of training across multiple areas of medicine — especially in pain management and sports medicine. Deeply committed to improving the lives of those in his care, Dr. Newsome is currently in practice at I-SPINE in Keller and Houston, Texas.
Dr. Newsome began his education at Duke University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He minored in chemistry and focused on neurosciences during his years of study.
The next step was medical school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. Dr. Newsome completed a general surgery internship and anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. After three years in practice, he completed a fellowship in interventional spine and pain management through the Solar Health Pain Management Institute in Dallas.
