Board-certified family practice physician Mohammad A. Haque, MD, is an experienced primary care provider serving the population of Houston, Texas. As well as being the director of his private practice, Dr. Haque is a wound care specialist who provides expert services at several medical centers and hospitals in Houston.
Dr. Haque earned his degree in medicine and surgery at the University of Chittagong in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He later moved to New York, and in 1986 he completed an internship in surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Queens, New York. He followed this with a four-year residency in family practice at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn & Queens in New York.
In addition to being a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Haque is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and the Harris County Medical Society.
Dr. Haque gained invaluable experience for his private practice in varied roles throughout his career, including being a nursing home physician, inpatient hospitalist, emergency room physician, and wound care specialist. He is also an assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Texas, where he teaches family medicine to fourth-year medical students.
