About Us: West Oaks Music Studio is owned and operated by Judith Loftis and her two sons: Erich Loftis and Brian Loftis. The studio has been successfully teaching all types of musical instruments (including voice) for over 25 years in the Houston area. West Oaks Music is known and respected for its highly qualified teaching staff, student successes, family-friendly atmosphere and exciting and professional recitals. Judith has called Houston home for over 30 years having been born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where she received her business degree from Wayne State University. She also owns West Oaks Publishing Co. that publishes and sells instructional books in piano and guitar and also PIANO RACES - a game that was developed by the late William H. Loftis and is sold all over the United States. Erich Loftis received his Masters Degree from Rice University in percussion and teaches advanced percussion, advanced piano and music theory and composition. Erich also is an expert piano tuner! Brian Loftis received his Masters Degree from the University of Houston in Double Bass Performance and teaches double bass, electric bass and music production.
