All of us here at Dimension’s Alternate Learning Center only want the very best for you and your family. Both mental health and emotional health greatly surpass anything else, even physical health. Our learning center offers many types of different services, even to those who may not even know it.
Have you been concerned lately for the well-being of your marriage? Are your lives becoming overwhelming and you never have a chance to talk about things? You might simply need a counselor to help with your relationship to resolve some issues, or a therapist to discuss the matters deeper. Dimension’s Alternate Learning Center offers our confidential assistance for counseling of your marriage if the need arises.
At Dimension’s Alternate Learning Center, we understand that substance abuse is a huge issue for some. You just can’t seem to rid yourself of the addiction but you never seem to avoid it much either. It’s a vicious cycle that you’ve become trapped in. We offer therapy for substance abuse to anyone wanting a little help to be totally clean. This vicious cycle could possibly lead to depression and/or hopelessness.
Have you noticed that your mood has been changing? Would you rather conduct a personal discussion with a professional? If you identified with either of these questions, a psychotherapist might be the best option. Psychotherapy is a general term for treating mental health problems by talking with a psychiatrist, psychologist or other mental health provider. More specifically, depression counseling might be the best choice. Simply letting out all of that built up anxiety and anger may be therapeutic in itself.
Some feel more comfortable opening up with someone in a one-on-one setting, while others prefer opening up in a group. Individual meetings with one of our counselors or therapists would be more intimate and would allow a person to be who they truly are, whereas group meetings may help a person to feel more comfortable and are given a feeling that they’re not alone.
Dimension’s Alternate Learning Center also offers therapy services for young children. All people could benefit from therapy at any age, so starting with therapy as a young child would likely be very helpful throughout life. Child psychotherapy is the creation of a therapeutic relationship which is almost solely focused on the emotional and social well-being of the child.
Adult therapy is not very different from child therapy and the two share basic principles in each. Therapy for adults helps them explore and improve their emotional, behavioral, and relationship functioning. By improving the ways in which you handle your feelings and interact with others, your professional life and personal life will improve as well.
