Dental Careers Academy is a modern dental assistant school located in sunny Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Our 10-week program is taught every Saturday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm in a real dental office. Students who graduate our program will have the working knowledge to become certified professional dental assistants in today’s current dental environment.
What makes Dental Careers Academy different?
Our mission at Dental Careers Academy is to prepare competent and professional dental assistants with the knowledge and skills to begin employment immediately upon graduation.
We have found that many people learn better through a hands-on training program, rather than the traditional lecture approach to education. Our teaching facility is located within a fully, functioning dental office, not a classroom, and our faculty is all actively practicing in dentistry. In addition, we wanted to create an accelerated, hybrid program that allows you to attend class only one day a week while completing book work, homework and quizzes in your free time. This allows the student to still work their current job instead of attending school full-time, thus reducing both tuition costs and student debt upon graduation. Finally, we designed the program to allow more individualized attention, with small class sizes of no more than 10 students and a ratio of only five students per faculty member.
