Caroline Barca is not new to Martin County, only to politics. In 1995 she moved to Stuart as owner and operator of a Mobil gas station/store managing over 30 employees. In 1998, Northwood University awarded her the prestigious
Arthur E. Turner, Entrepreneur of the Year award for small business owners under the age of 40. Since then Barca has developed 2 Subway franchises and began a 15-year career as a top producing realtor. To prepare for the
business world, Barca graduated from the Anderson School of Management, University of New Mexico and interned as a tax collector for the state. She says, “How ironic that I’ve come full circle - now a candidate for tax collector.” If elected, Barca’s priorities are to update the tax collector’s web site with the most up-to-date 2016 technology available to tax collectors, running the office efficiently and be more accessible to citizens.
