Dr. Monahan is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, with a subspecialty certificate in sports medicine. He is currently with the Providence Medical Group and is the team doctor for William Jewell College. He also has worked with sports medicine coverage for Woodford County Schools and Midway College in Kentucky and assisted the University of Pittsburgh physicians with coverage of the Pittsburgh Penguins and junior hockey teams during a sports medicine fellowship.
Dr. Monahan completed medical school at Medical College of Virginia; completed a residency with Geisinger Medical Center; and served an Orthopaedic Research of Virginia Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Fellowship.
