My road to dietetics began with a personal health struggle in dealing with life-long pain from a chronic disease. Nutrition soon became a central focus in managing my symptoms and improving my quality of my life. I was intrigued with the dynamic power of nutrition and its expansive application across many domains of health and well-being. I became a dietitian in order to help others reach their health goals through a philosophy of empathy, encouragement and education. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my church and family, traveling, gardening, and hanging out with my chickens.
