I was born in Columbia, Louisiana, but grew up in Lafayette. I have a B.A. in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, as well as a M. Div. in Biblical Studies and a Ph.D. in Greek/New Testament from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
I became pastor of First Baptist Lafayette on June 19, 2005. Prior to that I served as pastor of churches in Natalbany, Livingston, and New Iberia, Louisiana for 13 years. I have served in numerous denominational positions and been involved in community service through the Rotary Clubs and on the Board of Directors for both ARC of Iberia and A Pregnancy Center and Clinic.
