Dr. Padma Draksharam graduated her Internal Medicine residency from Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, New York in 2010. She completed her Hematology and Oncology training at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center/ King's County Hospital/ Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center, New York in 2016. She received several awards including 'The Outstanding Resident of the Year' and was also recognized as the Chief Resident and Chief Fellow during her training. Dr. Draksharam joined Brazosport Cancer Center in 2016 and is currently serving as Chief of Medicine at CHI St Luke's Health - Brazosport Hospital. She is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology and also the author of several publications. She is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. With 20+ years of clinical experience, Dr. Draksharam believes in a comprehensive and a personalized approach in cancer management. She provides her patients with treatments according to the latest advancements and national guidelines. She strives to provide an exemplary standard of care and through compassion and patience she helps her patients and their families in their battle against cancer.
