Johanna Johnson was born in New Jersey but relocated to Florida in 2004. She completed her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees at Polk State College continued her studies at the University of South Florida where she graduated at the top of her class with her Master of Science in Nursing degree. Johanna has a passion for helping people achieve and maintain their best possible health. Prior to transitioning into primary care as a nurse practitioner, she worked as the charge nurse on a medical-surgical-telemetry unit at a local community-based hospital. Johanna maintains membership in Sigma Theta Tau, nursing honor society, and the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi honor society. She is also a member of the Polk County Advanced Practice Nurses Association. “I wouldn’t want to do anything else,” she said. “I love getting to build relationships with my patients, and they really do become part of the family. They’re not just another patient.” In her spare time, Johanna enjoys any type of outdoor activity, reading, and spending time with her husband and daughter at Disney.
