Speech Language Pathology involves the treatment of disorders associated with the full range of human communication. Speech Language Pathologists are certified and trained to evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct clinical treatment to individuals who suffer from communication disorders.
Individuals who may require speech language pathology services consist of, but are not limited to, individuals who suffer from speech sound disorders, language disorders, hearing impairments, voice disorders, fluency disorders, cognitive impairments, apraxia of speech, traumatic brain injury, autism, cleft lip/palate, foreign accent, tongue thrust, etc.
