Keren Bakal
About
Keren Bakal, MD, specializes in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. Bakal's expertise includes chronic pulmonary obstructive disease (COPD), tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, and other interstitial lung diseases. Dr. Bakal's research interests are primarily devoted to the study of asthma. She has delivered local, regional, and national invited presentations in her field. She has published an article in the prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journal Chest.
Dr. Bakal says, "I believe it is important to educate my patients so that they can take a role in helping prevent illness as well as restore and maintain their health."
Dr. Bakal is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and American Thoracic Society. She is a recipient of the American Thoracic Society Travel Award and Arnold P. Gold Humanism Award.
When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Bakal enjoys playing the piano, skiing, and traveling.
