Sweet Scarf by Along Avec Anna is quick and fun accessory for gifting or to keep for yourself! A soft DK is just right for knits near your face, where your skin can be the most sensitive. Rowan Alpaca Soft DK is my go-to yarn, or you can cast on with The Fibre Company Road to China Light for extra luxury and a slightly lighter fabric. You’ll need two skeins of either to make the small size and the pattern is available through Ravelry.

Even though it’s at the end of the day, Open Knit Night always gives me a boost! We had a great crowd last night with some friendly new faces - thanks for the cupcakes, David! - and we had to bring out our last folding table to make room for everyone 😍

Texture and color and softness, oh my! Blue Earth Cowl by Nancy Ekvall is a simple, satisfying journey through easy stitch patterns, stripes and color blocks - a great project for a newer knitter, or a "resting" project to alternate with something more complicated. Lyle knit our sample with Lang Amira, which makes it wearable all year long and friendly for wool-sensitive people. The pattern is free through Ravelry and you can choose your four colors of Amira in-store or online!
