utwardly Awkwardly was co-founded in 2018 by two best friends, Juni Burt and Danielle Saulsberry-Gray. We share a passion for artistry, self-expression, vintage culture and socks! Both co-founders are from So. Cal, and are 80's babies and have a nostalgic love of the 90's. We enjoy the vibrant colors, patterns, symbols and hopeful spirit of that era and hope to infuse some of that energy in our day to day life. We are a black owned, woman owned, brand, born of the desire to show our style and share it with others.
Outwardly Awkwardly is a celebration of self, acceptance, shared experience, progress, love and feelings. We pride ourselves on creative expression, incorporating cultural elements and joining in the community narrative. We want to send a message to others to be true to themselves and fulfil your own purpose and passion.
