Allison Theobald is a pediatric and developmental nurse practitioner at Norton Children’s Autism Center, affiliated with University of Louisville School of Medicine. She received her doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY in 2017 and completed two post-graduate fellowships in neurodevelopmental and related disorders at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, TN and Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She obtained her certification as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist from the Pediatric National Certification Board in 2022.
Allison believes care of all children, especially those with chronic and special healthcare needs, requires a collaborative approach with multidisciplinary support of a family-centered method. Her goal is to work with children with disabilities and their families to reach their best and happiest life.
Allison is also the handler of a very good boy, Echo (Norton Children’s Autism Center Facility Dog)
