Several years ago Dr. Olayemi Chukwuogo served as Primary Care Provider to a young African American patient who was struggling with depression. Over the course of her care, Dr. Chukwuogo mentored her patient, who went on to succeed in high school and is currently pursuing a nursing degree in college. It's experiences like these - the ability to build lasting relationships with patients - that Dr. Chukwuogo finds most rewarding. Dr. Chukwuogo, a native of Lagos, Nigeria and Tulsa, Oklahoma, earned her medical degree from Ross University in the West Indies and her Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University, completing her residency at Somerset Family Practice in New Jersey. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending quality time with her husband, who was her college sweetheart, and their two children.
