Ophthalmology is an unusual field because it has a mix of both medicine and surgery. I enjoy spending time talking with patients, educating them about their disease so they understand their treatment options. I want my patients to describe me as a good listner, compassionate and qualified. Surgery is very rewarding because you can see results in terms of improved health almost immediately.
