I feel I need to know my patients as people first so I can better understand where they are coming from. Then, we can work together towards mutual goals in order to optimize their health. I truly feel my role as a health care provider is to be an advisor and coach. I try to listen to each person, treat them with respect and give them the encouragement they need to make healthy choices. I have a son with Type I diabetes and this is a special area of expertise for me.
