From a very young age, I knew I wanted a career that allowed me to help people. Medicine was a perfect choice. As I continued my education, I found a passion for helping people with mental illness. I find this field rewarding and see the importance of quality mental health care. \n I want my patients to know that I strive to be easy to communicate with; I want each patient to be comfortable sharing their concerns with me and asking their questions. Each of my patients should have a say in their treatment regimen, as being an active participant in their treatment leads to more successful outcomes. \n My husband and I have a son and a daughter who keep us busy. We try to go to their games and activities whenever we can. We also enjoy camping together and spending time with our animals. When I have time to myself, I enjoy reading all types of books, especially those that leave you on edge and eagerly waiting for the next plot twist.
