A missing vent cap on the roof allows water penetration in the bathroom. Water was coming out of the vent however you could not really see the water penetration on the sheetrock. Without the thermal camera this damage might of been missed.
This is a new construction home where the wall was opened to install the cooktop utilities. The sheetrock and insulation on the outside wall was removed but never replaced. The thermal image shows the heat penetrating the wall in the cabinet. Until the inspection revealed this defect there was no plans to fix it.
