Our registered Hereford cows are the best in the state. As a family owned and family operated cattle company working out of the city of Meeker, Colorado, Strang Herefords & Black Angus have successfully tested our purebred cattle sales in many different areas around the country, including the states of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Wyoming, Oregon, New Mexico, Mississippi, Nebraska, Montana, Ohio, Kansas, Montana, and Florida. We have also successfully tested our cattle in all areas of our home state of Colorado, including that of the towns and cities of Meeker, Craig, Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Steamboat Springs, and many of the surrounding areas.

Because the Strang Herefords & Black Angus purebred cattle service has been set up at such a high elevation in the mountains of Colorado, our livestock is carefully and lovingly raised through a rigorous lifestyle that ends up making the livestock hardy, healthy, and tough, so that they can withstand any type of environment or situation. We here at Strang Herefords & Black Angus have carefully bred our herds through five decades’ worth of genetic improvements, leaving us with a large stock of highly performing livestock and cows for sale, with the best qualities that you want out of your livestock, such as structural correctness, good muscle, udders with small teats, ease of milking and fleshing, and increased maternal and carcass traits. Especially with the Strang Black Angus cattle, our livestock is bred to keep up with even the harshest of winters and the highest of altitudes, and our Black Angus is PAP tested for high altitude – that is, they are checked out for acceptable levels of Pulmonary Arterial Pressure in high altitudes, so that customers who might need to store their livestock at higher elevations can do so without worry.
