Dr. Alpert is a graduate of UCI and a 1981 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Alpert grew up in Long Beach and is married with two children. Her son Grant graduated from UC Berkeley with his degree in Mechanical Engineering and, after working for General Motors for 4 years, is back in school at the University of Michigan to get his Masters in Sustainablity and his MBA. Her daughter Shelby just attained her Bachelor degree in Women and Gender Studies from Cal State Fullerton with the goal of becoming and emergency room/ trauma nurse. Dr. Bittner is a 1987 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. She has been practicing with Dr. Alpert since 1994.
