Shafer Memorials is our family owned & run monument business that has been serving the Mitchell SD and SE South Dakota communities since 1919.
We have 6 generations of monumental design that allows us to take what we've learned personally from our previous generations and apply it to how we provide your family with caring consultation and personalized design options for your personal monument, or that of your loved one.
We firmly believe that 'Friendly Consultation, Without Obligation' is the only way that we will do business.
Because we do our own engraving of our monuments designed we can carry a large monument display both outside and inside of our office location at 1023 North Main St. If you are able to come to the office for a consultation you will be able to stand next to full size monuments to best tell what the granite colors really look like. This also allows you to also view the sizing and shaping available to you as well.
