Kara graduated from Radford University with a BSN in nursing. She spent 10 years in emergency medicine as a RN before deciding to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner. She graduated from Simmons University with an MSN-FNP degree. She then was selected for a neurology fellowship with MUSC Charleston. After completing her fellowship, she decided to stay with general neurology, so she moved to Florence, SC. In her free time, she enjoys riding her Peloton and spending time with her family. She has a 6-month-old, a border collie, and a very loving husband. She enjoys all of neurology with a special interest in headaches, cognitive, and neuromuscular disorders.
