I went into medicine because of my primary care doctor. He delivered me and cared for me until I was 18, which provided the closeness and continuity all patients deserve. Mercy was a natural fit for me because of my connections here: My PCP was, and is, a Mercy doctor and my stepmother has worked for Mercy for 30 years. The culture here is exceptionally welcoming. And Mercy gave me the flexibility to work at a couple of clinics, which I wanted to do. As an OB doctor in family medicine, you care for patients and their families from birth. My favorite part of the job is understanding different aspects of patient health, like how family dynamics affect health, especially in rural communities where families are closely connected. I provide holistic, whole-person care, like osteopathic manual therapy, which brings relief to bones and tissues. Patients should know they'll receive compassionate, empathetic care. My goal is to make sure that the patient feels heard and understood.
