Lauren Wood, MD, is a board-certified family physician dedicated to caring for patients of all ages. She values open, honest communication and works closely with her patients to create care plans that are effective, realistic, and personalized. Dr. Wood strongly advocates preventive medicine as the foundation for a healthy life, emphasizing the importance of regular exercise, proper sleep, a balanced diet, routine vaccinations, and preventive cancer screenings.
Her passion for family medicine is evident in her commitment to caring for families. Dr. Wood has a special interest in women’s health, including contraception and the management of peri- and postmenopausal symptoms. She also enjoys guiding teens and young adults as they transition into adulthood and take charge of their health.
Dr. Wood resides in Salt Lake City with her husband and two daughters. Outside of her practice, she enjoys cycling, running, skiing, reading, cooking, theater, music, and spending quality time with her family.
