About

Kathy Doom is a nurse practitioner (NP) working with the neonatology team at Intermountain Health’s Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports infants and their families who are admitted into the NICU, caring for premature and critically ill infants, managing respiratory and cardiac complications, supporting neurodevelopment, and providing family-centered care. She’s passionate about caring for others in the way she would want her own child to be treated.

Kathy believes that teamwork makes the dream work and includes parents in their newborns treatment every step of the way. She enjoys caring for micro-preemies as these cases bring out the very best in collaborative, high-acuity teamwork. She finds it extremely rewarding to be part of such a well-oiled team that is able to provide an immense amount of care to the tiniest of patients.

Kathy was born and raised in Chicago, though she is a proud first-generation American with parents who immigrated from Poland. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and their three-legged fur baby. When they’re not tackling home-improvement projects or watching their chickens roam, you'll find them in the mountains climbing, biking, skiing, and enjoying the great outdoors!
