Koerber's Fine Jewelry was founded in 1986 by Michael & Felecia Koerber out of their home here in New Albany. After selling gold chains and earrings to friends and family for a while, they decided to set up a boutique in a hair salon owned by Michael's sister. Planning on being there for only a few months, they grew into a local name over the next 9 years. In 1997 Michael & Felecia moved their store to it's current location and have been lucky to serve over 30,000 wonderful people from Southern Indiana and Louisville.
Michael & Felecia's son Joshua joined the business in 2002, then moved to Carlsbad, CA to study jewelry design and manufacturing at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Upon graduation he moved to Malibu and worked for Gregg Ruth & Co selling very rare, Fancy color diamonds, and precious gem stone jewelry. In 2006 he returned to the family business with a commitment to his family and his community to make Koerber's a household name that everyone knew and trusted.
In 2011 Jacquelyn Koerber joined the business after spending 6 years in New York City, working for the famous Donna Karan. Jacquelyn has brought with her an enormous talent for spotting trends and buying for the store .
Together Joshua and Jacquelyn are the second generation jewelers that are determined to shake up the jewelry business in Southern Indiana and Louisville. Joshua and his wife Danielle live only blocks away from Jacquelyn in the "Highlands" neighborhood of Louisville, KY. Through their extensive travels and time spent working in major cities, they understand Louisville's love of buying local and keeping things weird. Their goal is to become Louisville and Southern Indiana's locally owned "Engagement Ring Destination Store" catering to the young men and women of this wonderful area they call home.
