Dr. Michael Mintz specializes in the care of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), including Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease. He is an assistant professor of medicine at the Jill Roberts Center for IBD at Weill Cornell Medicine.  Dr. Mintz attended medical school at Stony Brook University, where he was elected to the alpha omega alpha (AOA) medical honor society and graduated at the top of his class.  He completed his medical residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship with subspecialty training in IBD at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medicine.  Dr. Mintz's clinical and research interests are focused in the area of advanced combination therapies in medically refractory IBD.  He is a principal investigator for multiple late-phase clinical trials exploring advanced therapeutics in IBD.  In addition to practicing at the Manhattan IBD center, Dr. Mintz is building an IBD program at the NYP- Brooklyn Center for Community Health. The program's mission is to bring comprehensive world- class IBD subspecialty care and access to clinical trials to the borough.
