Piper grew up in Ketchum, Idaho, and after a few monumental moments of caregiving, she knew at a young age that she wanted to be a nurse. She did just that and attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City for nursing school, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Afterwards, she packed up and moved to Connecticut where she entered her first nursing job in 2015 on the Mother-Baby unit at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. However, the mountains were calling and in 2017 Piper moved back to Ketchum, where she worked at a critical access hospital where she stayed for the next 5 years working as a triage, antepartum, L&D, postpartum and newborn nursery RN with occasional stints in the ER during COVID. While continuing work, Piper simultaneously obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2022 to become a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She moved with her fiancé to New York City in 2022, which is when she found her current position working in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Weill-Cornell.
