The feature allows a user to balance the traffic and load to the connected devices in the network. With the help of a Smart Connect feature a user can also improve the Wi-Fi speed by balancing the speed among the bands within the network, it is also responsible for reducing interruption and delays. A user should make sure that both the frequency bands must share the same SSID name and Wi-Fi password in the network. If both the frequency bands have a different network name, Smart Connect will encounter an error while working. Any changes in the Smart connect feature can be done through the dlinkap.local management window.
