Dr. Joseph Hans Known as “Dr. Joe,” Dr. Joseph Hans has dedicated his life to helping others live a healthier lifestyle. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, he has always been involved in athletics and knew that he wanted a career path in health and fitness. While in high school, he began bodybuilding to improve his athletic performance in football and wrestling. When he was 19 years old, he placed third in the “Teenage Mr. America.” Over the years, Dr. Joe has won or placed in more than 25 bodybuilding shows across the country including the NPC, Florida Bodybuilding Championships, Mr. Eastern America, overall winner of The New York State Gold Cup and overall winner of NGA (National Gym Association), earning him a national championship in 1985. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from the State University of New York at Cortland. After receiving his teaching degree in Physical Education, he moved to Atlanta and worked in various schools as a PE teacher and personal trainer. Dr. Joe went back to school to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, graduating in 1998. While attending Life University, he ran his own personal training business. His combined education and experience as a competitive bodybuilder and personal trainer makes him an expert in providing care for musculoskeletal injuries.
