This winter has been so mild and pretty. It’s been fun to get outside!
A beautiful golden moon, low on the horizon, is greeting us along the farm road this morning.
Fresh cut peonies
These are our itoh peonies, also known as intersectional peonies. They are a hybrid of the herbaceous and tree peonies. We have a few in our show plot and gardens, that you won’t see that often.
So, the first scout swans came in this weekend. According to them, Spring really is coming. Our temps are running between the 20s and the 40s during the day.
Peony picking every day….
Did you know that we have over 12,000 plants on our farm? And that number just keeps growing every year!
Happy monday! Here’s to a new week full of flowers! 🤍
Peonies in the making…
Harvest is over for the year but we are already so excited for next summer & and all the beautiful peonies we will get to see then!
The snow is officially on the ground and we are dreaming of days with the peonies again!
We are thankful for all of you who supported us this past year.
Our largest white peony, and our most popular! Beautiful silky-white petals, open to a large full double bloom, with crimson-red accents in the middle.
As its name implies, this bloom is a very nice, creamy white peony. When completely open, the large flower opens to a 8-9" bloom! It is slightly bowl-shaped and has a pleasant, light fragrance. The big white blooms make a stark contrast to the dark foliage and strong stems.
