Ocean City Today is the newspaper of record for Ocean City, Md. and the surrounding area and was founded in 1993 by a small group of local stockholders under the corporate title of Flag Publications, Inc.
It remains an independently owned weekly newspaper and is distributed free on newsstands every Friday throughout northern Worcester County, Md. and parts of Sussex County, Del. Its average year-round circulation is 17,000, with a seasonal high of 25,000.
