I chose to go into medicine for the opportunity to help people at their most vulnerable. I think it's important that patients have someone to lean on during those times. I chose family medicine to be able to help families as a whole and develop lasting relationships and see families and people grow throughout their lives. I'm passionate about patient education. It's important patients understand their disease and the state of their health and understand the medications that we're prescribing and how they're going to help them. I want my patients to know that the type of care they'll receive is collaboration between me and them. I want them to be in control of their health care plan as much as possible.
