About

Ives Wood Turning Inc. bring over 25 years of quality wood design and production to you home. Visit our website to view our online gallery of hundreds of patterns and sizes, or ask for a custom design or reproduction. Our custom turnings begin with a CAD drawing to properly control all dimensions and elements. We generally turn only the finest domestic hardwoods such as: oak, maple, cherry, walnut, different types of alder, as well as specialty woods for custom orders. Softwoods such as pine, cedar, or fir can be turned but do not cut as clearly. We have reproduced Victorian, Federal, Shaker, Early American or Colonial wooden posts as well as Craftsman style products. We also offer turned and box newels, balusters, furniture and table legs, fluting, rope spiral, barley twist, bun feet, fireplace columns, kitchen island posts, and more!We utilize several lathes in our shop but we consider our state-of-the-art Locatelli CNC lathe to be the real workhorse. The Locatelli gives us the capability to our custom turnings more efficiently. We can turn posts up to 7 1/2 inches square or 11 inches in diameter, and 63 inches in length.Let us make your dreams a reality! Call for your estimate today!
